Re: Max file size
1. For a full discussion of 'largefiles' see the document "HP-UX Large Files White Paper Version 1.4 (HP-UX 10.x, HP-UX 11.0)" at:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/11.0/
The Journaled File System (JFS) limits by version are:
Version 2 : Supports 4GB filesystems and 4GB files on 10.01. Supports 128GB filesystems and 4GB files on 10.10 and above.
Version 3 : Supports 128GB filesystems and 128GB files on 10.20. Supports 1TB filesystems and 1TB files on 11.0 and above
Version 4 :

2. Ignite is a product for cloning, recovering, and installing the OS. A separate web site containing documentation and downloadable code is:

Re: Max file size
Ans: 1. Max file size:1TB There is no kernel parameter to modify to achieve this.
Ques: 2.What is Ignite-Ux?How to install it?
Ans: 2. Ignite UX is a recovery software for HPUX. This is achived by archiving the kernel/system boot parameters/information on tape. You can look up the docs from http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/docs.html
You can down load the software from
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/index.html
