MC/SG between PA-RISC and Itanium
sorry for ask a basic question.
i have a Itanium and PA-RISC machines, the Oracle database are running on those machine.
Recently , we want to do MCSG on those 2 machine and upgrade OS to 11iV3.
my first confuse is , How MCSG run it between different machine hardware and same OS?
another question is , Oracle database software is different for PA-RISC and Itanium , does it work on above condition?
thanks all

Re: MC/SG between PA-RISC and Itanium
now , i know that MC/SG work fine between PA-RISC and Itanium ,and OS must upgrade to 11iV2 update 2 .

and i will mix those 2 server with MC/SG.
however , Oracle database 10g software are different for PA-RISC and Itanium !!

Re: MC/SG between PA-RISC and Itanium
HP support says with proper patching and such you can run a mixed PA-RISC/Itanium Serviceguard cluster.
You need to check how Oracle will support this. On 11i v2 they still provided different installations for Oracle on the two platforms.
Problems with data corruption are at risk without air tight Oracle support.
