messages in syslog.log

On monitoring the system log file (syslog.log) I am seeing messges like:
lanc_ether_ics 14
I have never seen this message in there before. The number at the end is different on each message of this type. Can someone tell me what this means? Does something need attention? Thanks.

Getting messages in syslog.log that look like the following

May 17 04:49:48 hp04 vmunix: lanc_ether_ics: 1
May 17 04:49:48 hp04 vmunix: lanc_ether_ics: 2
May 17 04:49:48 hp04 vmunix: lanc_ether_ics: 3
May 17 04:49:48 hp04 vmunix: lanc_ether_ics: 4
May 17 04:49:48 hp04 vmunix: lanc_ether_ics: 5

RESOLUTION
These messages are caused by a printf statement accidentally left in patch
[PHNE_20656/PACHRDME/English] that was used for debugging.

Install the latest LAN products cumulative Patch and this will go away.

[PHNE_21216/PACHRDME/English] LAN products cumulative Patch
