Re: Network Card Not sensing

Shalom

If it does not show up on ioscan, you can not do anything else.

It is most likely a hardware failure. If its a built in, you'll be needing a new system board.

Since PDC sees it, I recommend cstm to test and diagnose.

Re: Network Card Not sensing

Are you sure the correct driver is included in the kernel? Which specific A Class, and which HP-UX 10.X OS?

Re: Network Card Not sensing

Hi,

Do you have any HWE CD for HP-UX 10.00 ??
You can see the model by using command
model or through sam.

Re: Network Card Not sensing

An A Class running 10.00?!? I guess that means the system is an A180 - that could be confirmed with the "model" command.

10.00 was obsolete decades ago, and I'm not even sure that 10.00 was ever _supported_ on an A180?

Anyway, I am quite sure that the btlan3 driver, which, IIRC was the driver one used for the core on an A180 was _not_ part of the 10.00 OS. It was definitely an add-on from one of the DART CD's of the period.

It _may_ be the case that the apropriate 10.20 _ACE_ media had the btlan3 driver as part of a basic OS load.
