NFS client

I am researching setting up NFS. My question is can the client be a windows NT or 2000 system, and do I do the client setup using the same instructions as listed in the documentation ??

I think CIFS could be the best option in your case.

Configure CIFS server on Unix Box and Client on WIN NT machine.

CIFS is the best way as far as I know. There used to be a windows package called NFS client for windows but this was way before SAMBA was out. I am not sure if there is sucha thing right now.

Windows has a free CIFS/Samba client built into the OS, all the way back to Windows 98.

An NFS client will require additional, possibly expensive software.

sorry guys....forgot to mention this system is 11.0....will cifs still work....the documentation talks about 11i ???
