NFS Information

How many daemons are running for nfs?what are they ?what do they do?

The default is 16. It was 8 on older OSes. They handle the I/O from the NFS clients. Their number can be adjusted in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf and it depends on the NFS activity from the NFS clients.
