Oracle Stand by DB feature

Hi All,

Can anybody pls tell me, Does Oracle(8.0.5) provide Stand By database feature???

Darshan,
I believe Standby was supported in 8.0.5, but really only usable from 8i onwards.
Probably some doc on Oracle Metalink.
Isn't 8.0.5 out of support?!

hi darshan,

A standby database in manual recovery mode operates only on Oracle release 7.3 or higher.

A standby database in managed recovery mode operates only on Oracle release 8.1 or higher.

A standby database in read-only mode operates only on Oracle release 8.1.5 or higher.
