Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
Two replies this morning, twice that message.
Both times the reply did make it in, but the topic does not get bumped to the top of the pile it seems.
With Firefox i can just go back a page, and capture the text 'just in incase', then click on the topic link to se whether the reply made it in.
fwiw,
Hein.

I had been thinking that it was better for a few days, but, apparently, here we go again!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
You run a very interesting site. Within the last half-hour or so, I saw another "time warp". If you don't believe me, find one of your databases with a thread by Duncan Edmonstone, titled "Where have all the treads gone?" or something to that effect.
As in times past (yes, pun intended) I made an entry therein.
Your comments?
Regards!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
I just experienced the aforementioned "time warp". I was unable to connect at all using Netscape on HP-UX, so I thought I would just double check using IE on XP. The Forums came right up, but there was Duncan's "where have all the threads gone?" thread sitting right on top with a latest reply date of 02/09/06. I opened it, noted James' response from earlier and added one of my own. No amount of reloading or refreshing could get it back to a current date. Then, a few moments later, my Netscape session managed to connect, and now, if I refresh the IE session, it's back to current.
This place is just plain weird!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
Performance until 10 seconds ago has been abysmal. This forum is making the Israeli government agencies look fast. It takes a lot of work for ANYTHING to make the Israeli government look fast.
How about it. Escalation please.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
The site is virtually unusable for a majority of us (it would seem). Pete's response was from 0700, and here it is 12:05 (CST) and the site is still stingy with it's data.
I don't get as much time to come here as I used to so it is especially frustrating to me when I can't even use the time I have to the best.
How about it? Is that escalation possible? Even better yet, how about an ETR??

Can someone tell me why this page
http://forums2.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1000380&admit=-1335382922+1139581861067+28353475
has been removed?
It was simply a setboot/fastboot question.
Maybe our DB gremlin is back at it....
Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
Pat on the back, great day. As an experiement I decided to stop double clutching and all but one post went through. The double clutching thing is a hard habit to break.
A sign of improvement, no change in my ussage patterns, except increased posting in a failed effort to hit 60K before I get trapped on an airplane 13 hours on Thursday.

How did you guess I hadn't had my coffee yet? I went and immediately had some.
Thanks to the HP team, I know you are working hard.
A thanks to all forums participants, last week was the best week ever for me in removing stats collection is distortion in 2004.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
Front page point totals are off, the person I gave a bunny a few minutes ago did not have his total reflect it.
I earned a bunny while reading my own thread because I can't resist itrc threads and my total did not update.
I have to double clutch while posting and the browser hangs while posting points.
Oh, and zero for me on all posts, but how about we run through the issues threads and submit points.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006
In my closed thread...
...in the closing message, i posted 3.1.2. It should be 2.6.2.
If not, I will just post a follow up correcting myself, just let me know.
