Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006

Looks like we have gone from friendly advice on how to solve a problem to a full out sales pitch for a different product.

Isn't that considered in bad taste or am I off the mark on this one?

HP-UX Thread lost in Linux Land.

Kudos to Melvyn for keeping things up to date here.

Sorry if I missed anyone I've been dealing with a crisis in my old home town in the USA. Chicago is great, but I'm used to warm Israel.

My participation should pick up when I return to Israel.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006

We have decided to retire the monthly issues thread in favor of using the existing category "Your questions regarding ITRC Forums" at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/familyhome.do?familyId=295 This was done based on several factors including user arguments that the issues thread has never belonged to the HP-UX General category.

Starting with March, we will no longer host one thread for all issues and ask that everyone report any enhancements, suggestions, or issues by opening a new thread in the ITRC Forums category. Critical issues can be reported by email as well.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006

Regarding the last post, this seems like a sudden change, and not quite what I, at least, was suggesting.

I recommend continuing with the monthly summary postings, at least until people get used to the new location, but in the "Your questions regarding ITRC Forums" area as suggested.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006

Hi Cheryl,
Yes, that's what I'm referring to, but suggesting we continue to have a monthly posting rather than individual ones.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - February 2006

Sorry to add to a closed thread, but I think this change should have been made only after Pete's suggestion number 4 was implemented.
