Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

When trying to reply to a thread in the Linux forums just a moment ago:

Could Not Open URL
The URL you requested does not exist or is not retrievable at this site. You can return to the HP IT Resource Center home page (itrc.hp.com).
(Error HTTP_404)

Thread trying to reply to:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=624365

URL being sent to by the 'reply' button:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/postanswer.do?threadid=624365&forumId=1

I don't like the 'forumId' at the end ;)

Anyway. I tried it again in another window, and it still appears to be happening.

Hi. This thread: -

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=624347

so far has about 3 replies, but the forum view page shows it as having 0?

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

Stuart - I've posted a link to the iPaq Category in that thread, we can't move messages from the ITRC to the Business Support Forums,

Rah - were they replies or new messages? What category were they in?

Stuart - It may well be down to the length of the question, I'll report it, thanks

Simon - It's showing as having 3 on both the Category:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=251
and the Family page:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/familyhome.do?familyId=121
(about half way down)

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

Hmmm. I always view from the "HP-UX" family, to see all below. As in: -

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/familyhome.do?familyId=117

I've seen a couple since exhibiting similar symptoms now, and it appears that it is on threads that are "moved". This is another example: -

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

A thread that has been moved WILL show 0 replies, but if you go to the forum area where it has been moved to, you get the correct number of responses displayed

Hi Dan,
I just wen through during the last 20 minutes, the impossibility to reply.. returning Error 500 server internal error...

Could it be my browser that got corrupted since, fed up, I closed the lot, started again, and now it works?

When I do a search, I am getting the same item TWICE in the list of items found. It might be a forum post or a patch or a document.

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

Let me say that I have the same results on searches. Not all the time, some of the time, I can't find a common factor. Yet.

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

HP-UX thread needs to be located there.

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=628595

It is I think July.

At least it is here in Jerusalem.

Hint. Hint.

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

Hi Dan,

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before(Apologies if it has) but would it be possible when viewing "questions with no replies" to filter out all the questions that have been moved to other sections?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi,

This thread in linux forum should probably be better placed in HP-UX :

Re: Please Post Your Forums Issues - June/July 2004!

As far as I can tell this:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=630883

is an erroneous new message and can be deleted, because the author has already made a reply in the correct thread:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=624679
.

Advanced search is bringing back each result twice.
