Somehow I think that the US is affraid for theEurope forum members to catch up with them, and want to slow them down in earning point by just denying access :))

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Hey Dan,

Have rec'd "404 Object Not Found" errors on replies since 11:00 CDT. And not been able to navigate much if at all for same period.
Database/system trouble?

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Dan,

This "outage" seems quite coincidental to what the European users reported earlier.
I'm now wondering if this was a "planned outage" & if so why we can't institute notification for us lowly users so that we can just avoid the system for the planned period?

Rgds,
Jeff

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Service has been super slow the last few days. Got a couple of: Error processing SSI file messages and tons of 404's. Keep it up. Maybe I can use this opportunity to break my addiction to the forum.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

The Forum Server has been extremely slow for the last 4 hours. Most of the pages were just timing out.

Hi Dan,

During the last four hours, I've got many connection timeouts and blank pages saying I'm logged in......

Not a good afternoon in my timezone..

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Experienced error this morning,

Error processing SSI file '/cm/FamilyHomeContent/1,11868,LoggedIn!117,00.html'

Also got error message saying "error URLs" when I was trying to refresh for a couple of time today, don't know why, for your reference.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Dan-

had a period a few hours ago where all I could get was "error processing SSI" errors when trying to load the main page. Seems okay now, but a little slow still.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Hi All,

Thanks for your feedback regarding the recent performance issues. Apologize for the late reply. We have a team working daily to determine the root and a resolution for the recent downtime. I will report out what I find from the team asap. In the meantime, I appreciate your patience.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Dan,

"Team searching" - I can tell you the root => (M$)
And the resolution UNIX or Linux w/Apache & I won't even charge you any $ or time for it!
Sheesh Dan, it's going to be hard to be a "Top Ten Support Site" with these uptime stats. You know they're going to ask "How many nines of uptime?" & you'll have to reply "One & it's on the left side of the decimal."
For God's sake - what's it going to take to convince mgmnt to DUMP MICROS??T! (I'll let the readers replace the wildcards).

I feel better now,

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - April 2002!

Hi Dan,

just a small thought from me.
Why not add a small graph to user profile showing point earned in a timeframe.

The graph can indicate whether a user earned much points lately or it could indicate he/she is a steady gatherer.
