Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Hi Dan,

I've had troubles again posting an answer this morning (I've got timeouts after submitting the answer, never reached the acknowledge messages). It ended up finally in a triple post:

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Dan,

First off, sorry for using the November thread - but I can't get to the December one. The search engine won't find it, of course.

Anyway, MAJOR issue is: the home page is 404'd. As of 0645 AM EST, I can not bring up the sysadmin family home page. All I get is "404 not found". Actually, I can't get to any thing off of the ITRC home page, no matter what circuitous route I try.

HELP!!!!

Pete

P.S. When I submitted, I got 404'ed, too. I'll try again for the heck of it so, if you see multiples, I apologise again.

PP.SS. As you can see, I finally found my way to the December thread after all. It seems that I can function just fine if I use my MicroSucks WinBlows 98/Netscape 7.0 platform. Using my HPUX 11i/Netscape 4.78 platform is a complete and utter failure however.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Hi Dan,

Me again, with more apologies.

It seems to have been purely a browser issue. I exited completely and restarted Netscape and things seem fine so you can discount all the previous "issue" - except for the complaint about the damn search engine.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

I've received the error

Error processing SSI file '/cm/FamilyHomeContent/1,11868,LoggedIn!117,00.html'

a couple of times this afternoon when trying to access the hp-ux forum. A refresh seems to clear this up.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Still seeing about a 15 second delay when accessing the new Networking forum. I get the HPUX forum in under 3 seconds so it's not a network issue. Even at 11 PM on the company DS3 it still takes 15 seconds.

Hi Ron,

Sorry about the delay...I've confirmed it again today as well. I've submitted a case to the support team to see if they can determine the cause. Thanks for reporting it again....

I to have noticed that accessing the network forum is slower than the other forums.

Hi Dan,

Just a friendly reminder that the "successes" link on the forum home page is still pointing to the Nov thread.
We need to get you a month end checklist...hee...hee...hee

Cheers,

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Jeff...ugh! Thanks, you are correct. I need a new checklist for Christmas. :) I've added all these nice things to my Outlook calendar, finally. I try to rely on my memory, but I need another expansion slot.

Thanks again,
Dan

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Dan,

I've got another item for your checklist. The front page link to Procura's statistics thread is still pointing to the November one.

When you order your expansion slot, order an extra one for me, will you please?

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Hello Dan,

First a little introduction, I'm working as a sysadmin for a large pension fund in the Netherlands. Mostly we use Solaris but we have a few hpux-servers. Since this forum is the best unix forum and it is not hard to translate the hp information to solaris it's a great database to use.

Last weeks I've seen some strange things;
disapearing thread's (can not give you an example of that, can't find the thread anymore :>)
magical answer assinged but there is no rabbit!!

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

I've only tested my link once, just after Dan mailed me he added it. I don't see that link in normal life, since I start browsing from http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/FamilyHome/0,,117!1!1,00.html - one level down. Would it be better to move the link there, since it only reports the stats for hp-ux?

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Pete, thanks...Procura was to let me know when he posted a new thread for December, then I can see that the link is updated.

Robert-Jan, thanks for the introduction. Good to hear you are receiving support for all your systems via the ITRC Forums. I'll look into the issues you describe with the developers.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for December 2002!

Hi Dan,

This morning from 11:10 to 11:20 or so, I couldn't get in at all. Browser kept stalling. When I did finally get back in, it was painfully slow opening questions.

I think it seems better now, though.
