port number for reflection

Hi Guys,

Does anyone aware of the port number that is used for XDMCP connection , we are not able to open reflection gui to one of the hp servers and in a need to open the access on firewall. Request U to pl get back to me on the port details.

XDMCP initiates on udp port 177; you will also need port 6000 for X.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

man Xserver | grep 177
Default port number is 177.

Also be aware :


man Xserver | grep 6000
The server listens on port 6000+N, where N is the display
