Well you can use dumb model, hope it will work. Btw, what is the printer model and does it has jetdirect support.

at 11i the 'real' printer scripts are located in the directory
/etc/lp/interfaces/model.orig
It may be, that at 10.20 the location was under /usr/spool/lp/... or /var/spool/lp/...
Open the file with your printername; in the header you'll find (hopefully) something like
#@(#) $Header: .../net_lj4x.psh

For current supported printer models under HP/UX 10.20 reference directory:
/usr/lib/lp/model
If changing a models definition copy it to another file. Example cp -p dumb mydumb
Then edit mydunb
When finshed refer to lpadmin or jetadmin and reference new model mydumb.
Do a: man lpadmin
