Problem:
---------
I made a new ignite (LIF) image using the ignite-UX version B.2.4.307. After this i installed this LIF image on a n-class sevrer with 2 CPU's - no problem.
But when i installed the same LIF image on a n-class server with single CPU, my "/stand/system" file is missing with the fcT1_fcp driver.
Why is this happening so...
H/W - n-class
OS - HP-UX 11.00
Thanks,
Arun Kumar

SolutionI am not really up on the built in options that may or may not come on standard L class machines but an ioscan of the system should soon tell you if you have any Fibre cards -
ioscan -fnCext_bus
A visual look around the back should also let you know as well - You should probably see two thin cables (orange normally) coming out of a card which goes to a storage array. If you don't have any external storage on the box then you should probably not worry about the missing driver.

Re: Problem with the fcT1_fcp device driver.
I checked that i don't have the h/w installed both by the ioscan command and by looking at the back of the server. Since i had two kind of servers i expected things to work on both the machines. I didn't had the knowledge of checking at the proper hardware details.
Now as you said i don't have to worry of the driver installation when i don't have h/w installed.
Many thanks for all your replies....
Cheers,
Arun Kumar
