qlogck: Problem reading file /etc/qlog/config.lock

I've recently built a vpar running HP-UX 11i from September 2006 media. Veritas was installed as part of the build although I'm not planning to use it. I recently rebooted which halted half way through with the above error. Which was followed by:-
Command qlogck was not successful.
Fix whatever problem was encountered and rerun the qlogck.
I've never come across this error before. Can anyone explain how to get out of it and what this piece of software is doing?

This is something to do with Veritas Quicklog.
Check for the file /etc/qlog/config.lock, if it is there remove it and that should fix the problem

Re: qlogck: Problem reading file /etc/qlog/config.lock

Simon,
have you gone through the /etc/rc.log file and identified where veritas processes are started up.

Once you have found it, modify the corresponding file in etc/rc.config.d/ to stop startup.

Of course only do this if you are SURE you are not using the product.
