Question about Int VM Guest OS level

can a IntVM Guest OS be HP-UX 11iv1?

I understand the IntVM Host needs to be HP-UX 11iv2.

Thanks

Re: Question about Int VM Guest OS level

I seriously doubt it. 11iv1 (aka 11.11) is a PA-RISC only operating system. It won't run on Integrity machines.

Your OS for the IntVM needs to support the Integrity platform.

Re: Question about Int VM Guest OS level

William,

HP-UX 11iv1 is PA-RISC only.

Integrity Virtual Machines run on Integrity (Itanium) servers only.

The VM software virtualises the host - it doesn't do any kind of translation between processor types.

So no, you can't run 11iv1 in a VM Guest. Only 11iv2 and 11iv3.

No - you can't:

You can install following versions of HP-UX on a virtual machine:

HP-UX 11i V2 May 2005 or later

HP-UX 11i V3
