Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
Secondly when you go into a forum as the author of the original question, could you create a droplist by each users name which will allow you to easily assign points?
Hope this helps.

Jason V.

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
HP is encouraging everyone to use the points system, but still many replies remain pointless (i.e. without points ;).
Maybe a limit could be set to the number of questions that can be posted, without awarding points?? (play it hard Sam :)
Thierry.

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
I just got an error about 'object not found'.
Some minutes later I got IE going to DR.Watson.
Now everything goes well again.
I encountered this already for some time just after a reply to a message.

DD

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
After submitting a reply, I was not able to reach the acknowledgement page. The following error
IE page error: "The page is not found"
URL: http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/PostAnswerTrxn/1,1172,0x6786dfe5920fd5118fef0090279cd0f9,00.html
Refreshed 2 times to no avail. Submission was only successful after returning to the previous pre-submit page (back button) and re-submit again.
Regards.

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
While trying to submit my previous posting, I encounter the same error condition:
IE: The page cannot be found
URL: http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/PostAnswerTrxn/1,1172,0xf86bdfe5920fd5118fef0090279cd0f9,00.html
IE version: 5.00.2920.0000
Hopefully the submission for this post works without the need to click the back button. It appears that this problem occurs pretty consistently.
Let me know if I am missing something. TIA. Regards.

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
This time round, using the back button and resubmission does not work as before. However, the error is different.
IE: Error: The following URL cannot be retrieved
URL: http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/PostAnswerTrxn/1,1172,0xf86bdfe5920fd5118fef0090279cd0f9,00.html
Retried till the fourth time before the submission went through successfully. I also observed in the acknowledgement page that there are four zeros above the header. Usually, I either get one zero or no zeros at all.
==
0 0 0 0
reply to message - acknowledgement
==
Btw, what does each zero actually mean? Is it a debugging code?
TIA. Regards.

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
things are really going bad today :
- I get a 'Not Found' for almost every link, most of the time fixed after 1 or 2 retries
- sometime a 'Not Authorized' error ?!

Re: Report forums issues! [1/2]
lots of 404s, it was real good yesterday
(apart from the reboot!).
What disks are you using.. can I suggest the
HVD10 Solid State drives? Up to 100X performance increase for heavy hit sites!
Later,
Bill

You can give me 404's, you can give me SSI's, but deny me access to my deathless prose? Unthinkable!

Hewlett-Packard regrets this service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
(Error 300)
Netscape seems to work, however.

Does Vignette StoryServer come with any load-balancing or load-distribution features?
Hope this helps. Regards.

Error processing SSI file '/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,1150,0xaea953921f1ad5118fef0090279cd0f9,00.html'
I need to redo 5 or 6 times each transaction or click then i get through .
This no of retries seems to be predictable If you fail once ...try again and you will fail ..:-)
