Restoring from a Recovery Archive on an Ignite Server on PA-RISC
I have set up an Ignite server and I ran the the make_net_recovery from the client. All went well and it completed with no errors.
Now, I would like to know how do I restore from that Ignite server incase my client machine should fail. I have only found out how to do cold install from the Ignite server, but not on how to recover from the recovery archive on the Ignite sever.
Your input is highly appreciated
Kehad

On client Pa risc, you must stop the boot , execute "sea" and launch boot lan.ip address of ignite server

Re: Restoring from a Recovery Archive on an Ignite Server on PA-RISC
correct syntax is boot lan."ip adresse of server ignite" INSTALL
if you are in Integrity, select lan GBA ,the recovery is launched

Re: Restoring from a Recovery Archive on an Ignite Server on PA-RISC
By default, Ignite will figure out your machine has a recovery image and will select that image for install in the configuration panel.
This configuration will be identified via the recovery time stamp. (The details for this config are visible under /var/opt/ignite/clients/
Recommend that part of your recovery plans include actually testing this, before you really need it.
