SAMBA nmbd process hogging CPU

nmbd process is completely hogging one entire CPU. We have an N-Class system w/ 4 CPUS and glance indicates nmbd process is taking 100 of 400% max. I've stopped and started SAMBA, but continue to have the same result.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

..Joe

Re: SAMBA nmbd process hogging CPU

This problem was fixed in the latest samba(CIFS/9000) release. It also fixes some pretty nasty security issues.

Here it is.

It comes with an install procedure that does not change your conf files.

My bad. I have A.01.09.01 installed. I'll install the new version and see what happens.

Thanks,
