Hello,

What the keyword SAVE_NUM_ARCHIVES stand for ?
It is located in /var/opt/ignite/recovery/defaults and has got a value of 2.

It determines the no of archives to stores i presume

Correct, it is the number of archives to keep before overwriting them.
