sendmail how to send specific queued mail

Hi all,

Had a performance problem on our server which meant that mail has been queuing for 2 days without anyone noticing (don't ask) anyway I now have around 1200 mails sitting in /var/spool/mqueue. Now I'm well aware I can use sendmail -q to reprocess the queue and it should be doing this automatically I believe every few hours. I do however urgently need to print certain requests as a priority. I am aware which prints they are in /var/spool/mqueue however i am unsure on the syntax to resend them immediately if possible.

Cheers

Re: sendmail how to send specific queued mail

#sendmail -qR cwinters.com -v

To only process entries in the queue with a recipient having 'cwinters.com' in it. You can also use -qS to match on the sender and -qI to match on the queue ID.

check this one would help you.

-------------
You can also limit the jobs to those with a particular queue identifier, recipient, sender, or queue group using one of the queue modifiers. For example, "-qRberkeley" restricts the queue run to jobs that have the string "berkeley" somewhere in one of the recipient addresses. Similarly, "-qSstring" limits the run to particular senders, "-qIstring" limits it to particular queue identifiers, and "-qGstring" limits it to a particular queue group. The named queue group will be run even if it is set to have 0 runners.

Hope this help,
