Re: serviceguard cmquerycl add *.ascii erro!help!

Hi,

>:Warning: Unable to determine local domain name for gswsdb_1

1.check whether Nodename has mentioned properly,
2.check the connectivity between nodes.
3.check for the errors in sw log , any in installation of cluster software .

Thanks,
Analyst.

Re: serviceguard cmquerycl add *.ascii erro!help!

Hello,

One more advice - not directly linked to
ServiceGuard but certainly part of
good practice.

Do not use hostnames that contain
underscore characters. Replace them with
hyphens and make your setup more
DNS RFC-compliant:

From gswsdb_1 to gswsdb-1 or gswsdb1...

Re: serviceguard cmquerycl add *.ascii erro!help!

The message, "Unable to receive device query message from" has been seen in certain circumstances with SG A.11.18.
Suggest that you install the latest patch for Serviceguard;

PHSS_38860 11.23 Serviceguard A.11.18.00
PHSS_38861 11.31 Serviceguard A.11.18.00

Re: serviceguard cmquerycl add *.ascii erro!help!

Errant thank you, the problem has been resolved, the two I have the latest patches installed, but there are problems, only to re-install SERVICEGUARED after the error did not solve the problem.
