st -f /dev/sctl/scsipassthru# -s returns Device unit attention

Couldn't find a reference for if this means the device is good or needs attention. (LTO/SAN/NETBACKUP issues). Thank you for your time.

now, it sounds like You device wants some attention - cleaning, removing a stuck tape, resetting error counter after a bad tape was inserted or re-adjusting. or maybe just a powercycle.
yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.

Most times, I think that means clean the tape head.
