tcp_ip_abort_interval and tcp_keepalive_interval

Folks,

I have tcp_ip_abort_interval and tcp_keepalive_interval set to 10 minutes and 2 hours respectively (these are default settings). My N4000 box is running HP-UX 11.0 with four 360MHz CPUs and 2GB memory, housing a Netscape Web server and an Oracle Database.

What should be appropriate values for the above network parameters? Thanks.

Re: tcp_ip_abort_interval and tcp_keepalive_interval

I guess it would depend upon what you want to set them to and why. If the defaults don't meet your requirements, then I guess they need to be changed. I usually set keepalive to be 30 minutes.
