Telnet error: Time out occurred in the initial option negotiation

Hi,

I am getting following telnetd errors. Any idea? I know it could be patch issue but may be someone has any different information or have quick fix for the issue. Appreciate your help.

The ITRC Technical Knowledge Database suggests that this can be caused by a bad cable between your server and the switch.

Simply search by the exact string: Time out occurred in the initial option negotiation.
