Tombstones Question

I am getting the following errors when booting the system:
(This output comes from "/sbin/rc1.d/S430pdcinfo start" in /etc/rc.log)

pdcinfo: ioctrl( diag_fd, DIAG_PROC_HPAS, ... ) failed. : Invalid argument
pdcinfo: pdcinfo_main.c:445
ERROR: pdcinfo returned error status=255

What is happening here? I have checked in /etc/rc.config.d/pdcinfo to make sure that pdcinfo is on.

Thanks!

Re: Tombstones Question

unfortunately pdcinfo isn't supported, it was mistakenly included in a few releases of diagnostics.

You can turn it off by editing /etc/rc.config.d/pdcinfo, change PDCINFO=1 to PDCINFO=0.

For details please have a look at ITRC Technical Doc ID KBRC00000655.

hope this helps

Re: Tombstones Question

It also could be that there's an invalid argument in /sbin/init.d/pdcinfo

Re: Tombstones Question

What system is this running on?
Some 9000 systems do not support the pdcinfo stuff.
You may also want to check and see if you have the latest version as there was a patch for this.
