You need software first. It's called APA, Auto Port Aggregation. That software is not free, must be purchased and comes with documentation at http://docs.hp.com

This is a feature that comes for free with Linux, not HP-UX

For HP-UX 11i v2 - the doc is named Support Guide. Same doc on v3 is named Administrator's Guide.

You can buy it from AR media. The product number for APA is: J4240AA.

it is rather scandalous that this is an extra to the OS. Such basic functionality, at least, i find it very basic.

windows, solaris, linux, *bsd all do this out of the box. way to go HP!
