Increased the number of physical extents per physical volume to 1152.
Volume group "/dev/vgsapmi" has been successfully created.
Volume Group configuration for /dev/vgsapmi has been saved in /etc/lvmconf/vgsapmi.conf

Re: Trying to Create a volume Group

Frank,

Can you paste the output of # ls -l /dev/*/group ,

And also check the disks " /dev/dsk/c7t9d5 /dev/dsk/c8t9d6 /dev/dsk/c7t9d6 /dev/dsk/c8t9d5 " are given correctly,

Cheers,
Raj.

Re: Trying to Create a volume Group

Hi,

make sure you're not trying to create new VGs using the alternate pathes of previous used LUNs. SAM (or a hitachi related tool) can probably tell you more.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
