TTISR process

While monitoring one of our HPUX 11.00 systems, I noticed a process called TTISR which has been running for quite a while.

We have few direct users, onlu SQL*Net connection thorugh Oracle.

What is this process, and where can I locate more information on it's job and any other info about it?

What does the ttisr daemon do?

Hardware System -S825

Solution

The ttisr daemon handles nfs/asyncio (asyncronous io),
polls mux cards, and handles ioctl calls for pty's and tty's.

The high stats should show up in sar -y output. These are tty device stats.
