unable to configur gig-e using SAM

When attemtping to configure my gig-e card using SAM, i get the following error..
'configuration of this NIC is not supported with this version of driver product. Plse contact....'
I AM able to configure the card using the 'ifconfig' cmd ?
I have de-installed, and re-installed the drivers..

Well this could be due to a version of SAM that is old, or unpatched, or it could be due to an old or unpatched version of the driver.

Check the version of SAM, and which patch is installed, then look on the ITRC patch database to see if there is a newer version.
Do the same for the driver of the lan card
