Re: upgrade mirrored system disks from 73 to 146 Go

Hi

Your vg are certainely configured for 73G disks
check by vgdisplay -v /dev/vg00 and verify Max Pe and size of blocks

The most easy is to save your server by Ignite , stop server , replace old disks by the new and restore ignite backup on new disks

I confirm the info off Ludovic.

If your vg is configured for 73 GB HD (MAX PE) then the only way to do it is restore a bootable ignite tape

Re: upgrade mirrored system disks from 73 to 146 Go

hi

I have checked on my server (73Gb disks installed)

Effectively max PE (4384) and PE size (16)are configured for 73G , so you must apply my preconisations in first message
-Do an ignite Backup
- restore Ignite backup

Re: upgrade mirrored system disks from 73 to 146 Go

What OS is running? 11.11 or 11.23?
For 11.23 or 11.31 you may be able to adjust the max_pe value, otherwise backup and restore with ignite.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
