Using 10k and 15k disks in a mirror

Earlier thread had alternate boot disk from mirrored vg00 die. HP sent replacement, replacement DOA.

Therefore, we are faced with either, running on a single disk for 48 hours (while replacement part arrives and I'm away) or creating a mirror but the only spare I have is a 15k disk, the primary boot is a 10k disk.

Can anyone see any problems with that setup?

None at all; LVM doesn't care and very dissimilar disks can be used. Remember, mirroring occurs at the LVOL abstraction layer rather than at the disk layer.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought, but as I won't be around tomorrow to pick up the pieces if I was wrong I thought I'd better get a 2nd opinion just in case.

many many thanks again.
