web server issue
Hi All,
I installed an apache on the unix platform.
But there is a video play issue:
1. we can play an .rm(RealPlayer) file on another IIS web server inside the browser directly.
2. but when we tried to play the same file on this Apache web server via the browser, the file was saved first, then played inside a Realplayer window.
We need to play it directly inside the browser.
Can you tell me the reason & solutions?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
/Discoverer
P.S.
We are urgent to do a CDMA 1XRTT Demo on the video playing inside the web pages via mobile.

Re: web server issue
What version of Apache are you running. What OS are you running it on? Has your OS been patched with the latest releases?

Re: web server issue
Hi, All
I think the reason just as following:
The issue was due to the route.
These .rm files lie on different subnets.
That file existing on the far subnet will cost more time to play.
Thanks, harry.

Re: web server issue
Hiya,
I'm digging through my memory here to try and remember cos I haven't dealt with apache in a while, but do you need to configure the mime type for streaming media?
