weblogic server run under MC/servive guard

When I use MC/service guard software start the package of weblogic, it failed. The log tells me: Unable to start WebLogic Server!!
WebLogic: license error, Invalid host IP. I use the floating ip (10.0.6.151) and my weblogic server has one ip license. While adding the ip (10.0.6.151) to lan1:1 manualy and start the weblogic standalone, it works.
What's wrong with weblogic and MC?please give advice.

The message tells the story.

You have weblogic licensed to either one of the node's IP address or hostname.

You need to reconfigure weblogic, if possible to use the floating IP address to the weblogic license file.

This may be a text configuration file or it may require you to run a funky license tool and tell it what you want to do.

You may even need to take the node out of the cluster and change its ip address to the floating IP address and re-run the license utility.

If SG is sucessfully failing over other applications, I'd look at weblogic first.

This might be solveable by some creative changes to your startscript.

This is to me an application issue unless you present a SG error code.

Greetings and good luck.

Re: weblogic server run under MC/servive guard

Thanks, steven.
I have added the ip to bea license file. Two nodes in the cluster have the same license. Either node which configured the licensed ip may run weblogic application. But the node configured the floating ip which is same as the license ip could't run under MC. This is my problem. Do you think it is a bea problem and not hp problem?

Re: weblogic server run under MC/servive guard

I think my problem is a bea weblogic's problem. So I do find the solution from bea!
