unable to login nis user in Graphical mode

Hi

I have an NIS user and it is not able to login to the DESkTOP mode ..But root login works fine in the graphical login
Following error comes while logging using
nis user which usees NFS home directory
Please Contact system administrator to resolve the problem: Could not lock the file \home\praveens\.gconf-test locking-file”; this Indicates that there may be a problem with your operating system configuration. If you have an NFS –mounted home directory, either the client or the server may be setup incorrectly. See the rpc.statd and rpe.locked documentation. A common cause for this Error is that the nss lock service has been disabled. The error was no locks available (err no =37)”

Please help

Re: unable to login nis user in Graphical mode

Check permissions on this file:

Please Contact system administrator to resolve the problem: Could not lock the file \home\praveens\.gconf-test locking-file

Your configuration may be directing the user lock files to an non-existant location or a file with permissions that can not be accessed.
