Re: wwnn and wwpn in RHEL and Suse Linux
We are using RHEL5.2 here with device-mapper-multipath installed. We obtain our WWIDs via:
ls -l /dev/disk/by-id/
We then add the ids to /etc/multipath.conf (along with an alias), run 'multipath -v2', and then the new LUN(s) is/are accessible.
Are you using QLogic cards? I would recommend downloading the latest HP QLogic drivers and tools if you are because they offer much more information with a simple command.
Please reply if you'd like further details on our procedure here.

Re: wwnn and wwpn in RHEL and Suse Linux
Here's a link to the QLogic tool we used for quick and verbose information:
http://driverdownloads.qlogic.com/QLogicDriverDownloads_UI/SearchByProduct.aspx?ProductCategory=39&Product=255&Os=26
Scroll down to "Linux Tools" and click on the "Snapshot -- HBA/Target/LUN" link.
