Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
It's complaining about missing entries in /etc/sysconfigtab of the type:
# PCI_Option = PCI_SE_Rev - 0x210, Vendor_Id - 0x104C, Device_Id - 0x0508, Driver_Name - tra
# PCI_Option = PCI_SE_Rev - 0x210, Vendor_Id - 0x10DA, Device_Id - 0x0508, Driver_Name - tra
On the systems with the Raptor401, grep for 0x1227 in sysconfigtab. The vendor of the Raptor should provide you a similar entry for their model 502 PCI card.
Rgds,
Johan.

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
the lines added to /etc one are just the same so the instalation protces was fine.
the older ones are Vendor ID 0x105d and device ID 0x2339. drivers of new card add exactly the same lines as for the older cards. when i changed sysconfigtab to make it to VID 0x1227 and DID 0x23 it detected card in its slot, but this time it could not configure device.
my guess is drivers delivered with card does not support this model, so i guess i'll have to mail guys who delivered it to us and ask em for better drivers.
do u think card may be broken ?
problem with raptors is u wont see if it work untill instalation procces is ended, system start up, see the card and start up its drivers. until then console mode and system is accesable only on serial port.
if u think of anything else pls send any feedback
thx
Konrad

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
I couldn't find anything in the new hardware delivery kits! Does the documentation say anything about minimum os release and supported hardware?
greetings,
Michael

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
older ones were already instaled by Northrop Grumman, and the ones we had as backup parts were without documetation either,

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
raptor cards are pretty common in ATMS systems. so is tru64 as OS platform. Northrop Grumman use it, Reytheon does, Telephonics offer its as option.

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
I wonder, how you would install drivers on Tru64. Well, since this stuff is newly bought, it is not too much to let them confirm their statement.
good luck,
Michael

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
So please ask the vendor for a certification on the used hard- and software.

Re: RAPTOR502 "has no matching entry in the PCI option table"
welcome to the world of professional machines. On a PC it is common to plug and then ask, here it is better to ask and then plug ;-)
