I have an ES40 running T64 5.1 PK6. I need to configure a RAID-5 set within the OS, and have been told that I need to use Win2K/NT SWCC client to talk to ES40 to do so. I have installed the KZPCCAgent side of SWCC and made the relevant entries into /etc/kzpcc.ini and cfg, and checked that agent is running on hot box. Yet I cannot login to the WIn2K side as it says that no agent is running on host.
I am using SWCC 2.2 client. But am using install disk that came with HSG80, as I do not have disk that came with KZPCC adapter.
Is SWCC client fussy about what Version it talks to?? Is there somewhere I can download the SWCC client for win2k for the KZPCC.
I have been able to find a client download for the KZPCA and tried this as a fluke, but that doesnt work either. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong??
Any help would be great.
thanks

Re: SWCC client problems with KZPCC
I hope, you installed the kzpcc agent from a cdrom. If you have it, the client is also on it. If not look here:

Re: SWCC client problems with KZPCC
thanks for the reply. I dont have the CD for the KZPCC. I have had a look at the link you provided, which was where I downloaded the KZPCC Agent from, but unfortunately the tar file does not contain the client as well, just the setld files for KZPCC.
Any other ideas would be great.
thanks

Re: SWCC client problems with KZPCC
oops, you are right. How do you know, that you have a kzpcc? Do you see that in the syscheck output? Do you have a supplier, who can make you a copy of that cd?

Re: SWCC client problems with KZPCC
I can tell from the SRM console and also, yes I ran sys_check 133 and this confirmed that it is a KZPCC adapter, and it has managed to successfully verify that there is one JBOD and 1 RAID-5 set linked to the adapter(I know that this is correct as I set them up using the SMOR utility on the KZPCC).
I'm really stumped, it seems like a strange way to have to configure a system - to have to use another operating system to set up the disks for another!!
I'm in the process of begging off of all my suppliers, but as yet I am having no joy. 1 supplier said I should be able to use the SWCC client for my other Storage(HSG80) and successfully configure the KZPCC, but this doesn't work at all.
thanks

Re: SWCC client problems with KZPCC
What the supplier told you, is wrong. You have one swcc client and for each controller like ra200, kzpzz, hsg80... a different plug-in, which handles the configuration. I had no problem with my supplier. Where did you buy the machine? What about asking HP? I don't know, how big the client is, if I can post it here.

Re: SWCC client problems with KZPCC
Is there any other way to configure the disks into the operating system without using SWCC??
Now I really appreciate how easy the HSG80 makes my life on my other boxes!!

What you see as disadvantage is an advantage because you don't have to shutdown the machine to run a config programme from the controller. Of course hsg80 is a lot better.
Have you got another machine with sla and kzpcc? I would really try HP, if your supplier of the machine isn't so nice to supply you with a disk.
Other than that, I do not have an idea. If you can wait til monday, I am looking in my office, what I can do.
