HP DVD100i drive and DVD-R Disks

Hiya,

I've tried to use my DVD drive with a few different types of DVD-R now, and none have worked. Does anyone know if the drive supports DVD-R disks or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks
Craig

Re: HP DVD100i drive and DVD-R Disks

Hi,

the DVD100i is a DVD+RW drive (note the + sign). You have to use +RW media.

The new +R media is out since some days, but will not be supported by the older DVD+RW drives.

So you can't use DVD-R or DVD-RW disks (note the - sign).

Hope this helps
