scsi codes (optical 2600fx)

I am working on a scsi interface to the aspi drivers and cant find a complete list of error codes. I am newbee at this and cant locate the meaning of all the sense coes. specifically without media i am getting a response to TestUnitReady: SenseKey=0x2, Sense12=0x3A, Sense13=0x0. What is a 3A? this happens when the media is ejected. I know its an error but is it defined? can I guarntee that no media gives a 3A?

Any help would really be appreciated.

Re: scsi codes (optical 2600fx)

Hi Chuck,

have a look here :

http://www.t10.org/lists/asc-num.htm

0x3A means "no media present"

So from what you described above this is expected and a normal returned status (media was ejected) and this is not a sense key you would receive under other conditions with media available in de device.
