Re: RDP 3.1 PXE Boot Loops forever
Eventually it kicks off and the image transfers. It has taken 5 times and up to probably 50 times. It is a real pain.
Hopefully one of the people here know how to fix it.

Re: RDP 3.1 PXE Boot Loops forever
I noticed that if I wanted to re-deploy an OS (Windows 2003) over a BL20p G3 that already had an OS present, I would get this problem.
Also it sometimes happens with other things, like jobs and scripts. I noticed that if I canceled the job and let the OS boot up, I would be able to re-launch the job and it would work, either by logging into the server and letting the AClient pickup the job and by manually rebooting the server and manually pressing F12 to launch PXE.
Hope this helps.

Re: RDP 3.1 PXE Boot Loops forever
There is an article somewhere on this site which discusses incorrect file extensions, however I can't seem to find my bookmark to it. sorry.

Re: RDP 3.1 PXE Boot Loops forever
Yeah, regarding file extensions I've had problems with files that weren't in the 8.3 format (eight characters then the .extension name ex: filename.exe)

Re: RDP 3.1 PXE Boot Loops forever
Same problems with same version, I didn't bother to call HP, my solution is to delete hosts on RDP console, disband smart array disk (so that hosts couldn't find an OS). It *may* happen that you can reinstall an OS without having to do all this.
