3019-Server Platform Services Firmware in Recovery Mode. DL360 Gen10

During normal operation, the fans began to work at full power. The server has been restarted. After reboot, the following message appeared: 3019-Server Platform Services Firmware in Recovery Mode. SPS image is corrupted. Update SPS Firmware. SPS update failed with System Recovery Set.

 

SPS update failed with System Recovery Set.

 

Every attempt to install SPS regardless of the version ends with 18-22% as failed.

 

Actual FW:

System ROM 2.54

ILO 2.55

SPS (corupted) - 4.1.4.296

Make sure the server is in the POST or Powered off State while applying the SPS Firmware.

I would recommend powering it off and then trying the firmware update.

Now as prerequisites check HPE Gen10 Innovation Engine (IE) Firmware version 0.1.5.2 or later is installed.

Remove any task that is running or Queue in ILO Installation Queue.

Remove the existing SPS firmware from ILO Repository

Then Download the SPS 04.01.04.296 for Microsoft Windows and put it in a folder.

Double-click on the executable to run it and then click on extract.

Use the filename "SPSGen10_04.01.04.296.signed.bin" and flash it using ILO GUI.

If the issue persists call our 24x7 support line and open up a case regarding this issue.

In the meantime, I managed to upload 4.1.4.901 SPSGen10on powered off server. Server boot up successful. After six hours, the fans are back at 100%. After restart, error 3019 again. Subsequent attempts to upload any version of SPSGen10 fail at 97%

If none of the upgrade Options are not working for you, Try replacing the system board and update the latest SPP and check.
