About to buy an HP ProLiant ML350p Gen8 as my first home server in 2023, is it worth it?

Hi Homelabers,

I’m about to buy an occasion ProLiant ML350p Gen8 with the following specs:

4*300GB 10K SAS Drives

Intel Xeon Processor, Model is not shared

8GB of RAM

Price: 59€

I will be using it for running somes VMs, tinker arround with it and a small personal NAS.

As this is my first time buying, I was wondering if it’s a good deal ?

Hi,

I cannot comment on the price, but the 8GB RAM and 300GB hdd is very less for VM stuff.
