Saludos.

Server Upgrades P55637-421 HPE Proliant ML110 Gen11
I am going to purchase a HPE Proliant ML110 Gen11 Intel Xeon Bronze 3408U/ 16GB Ram server whose P/N is P55637-421.
I would like to know if I can install "normal" SATA hard drives from other brands, and if a caddy is needed to put the hard drive in. The wholesaler's specifications state:
Hard disk drives included Not included as standard, 4 LFF supported.
I understand that it only supports 4 2.5 disks instead of 3.5 and that I will need a compatible caddy for each disk.
My question is also if I can remove the stock memory to put this one: P64706-B21, since I understand that being 5600Mhz it will be better than the 4800. There is not much information on the internet and wholesalers "don't know more about this". In the end it is difficult to resell this type of products if we don't have easy help to resell them.
Can you recommend any type of disk? Greetings.

SolutionHello @el_sabio_
Server model number P55637-421 supports only 3.5 (LFF) Drives.
For Intel® Xeon® Bronze 3408U Processor the compatible Memory modules are listed here - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sd00002645en_us&page=GUID-6220391D-65EC-4304-82BF-314189FC15E2.html . 5600MHz DIMM's are only supported on 5th Gen Intel Processors. Intel® Xeon® Bronze 3408U Processor is a 4th Gen Processor
Please refer to the quickspecs of the server here for a list of supported drives - https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00054055enw.pdf Pages 39 onwards. We would recommend that you reach out with the reseller to chose the right disk for the embedded controller (Intel vROC) that is present in the server.
You will need to chose SATA 3.5(LFF) Drive.
