Can I use P26934-B21 (1.6TB NVMe Gen4 x8 AIC HHHL PM1735 SSD) in a ML250 Gen 9
I have an ML350 Gen 9 and was looking at this nVME drive that slots into a PCIE. It is listed in the Gen 10 options but not the Gen 9.
Would this work if I put it into a Gen 9? The Gen9 has the required slots so I can't see why not, unless I am missing something. On a basic level, the gen 9 has the PCIe slot so why not right?
Can anyone advise on this please?

You are trying to use PCIe Gen4 adapter in PCIe Gen3 slots(Gen9 server) which may not work.
Gen10 server support PCIe Gen4 where as Gen9 server support PCIe Gen3.
You can further check your Processor specification on Intel website whether it support PCIe Gen4 ?
I would suggest to select the NVMe options available as per the Quickspecs.

Thanks for the response. The slots on the ML350 Gen10 are all PCIe 3.0. This particular nVME card, being gen4 will operate at gen3 speeds. I checked a few of the CPUs listed and those only go up to PCIe 3.0. Dunno why that gen4 NVMe card is even listed in the options.
