cannot boot using smartstart cd
I have Proliant 5500 (P2 type, bios date 11 Aug 2000) with smart 3200 controller (firmware right now is 4.5 A). My problem is I cannot use smart start CD to reconfigure the server. I already used NVRAM erase using maintainance switch jumper and also use eraser utility to erase all the configuration. But still It cannot recognize the CD. CD ROM is working well. First time can reach the RAID configuration part then cannot boot up. Any suggestion? Also all the SCSI hardisk already upgrade the firmware to the latest one.

Re: cannot boot using smartstart cd
It sounds like I'm having the same problem with a 5500 using SmartStart 5.3.
Did you ever get a resolution ? Thanks.

Re: cannot boot using smartstart cd
Hi, need to change the motherboard card (attach to vga, keyboard, etc). It will work and the bios set back to old one (1999). Hope you still have waranty.
