Hello
ProLiant DL120 Gen9
The array controller is a Smart HBA H240 (RAID Mode)
The system disk is an HP SAS EG0300JEHLV (Raid 0) - 300Gb
We bought a disk HP SAS EH0600JDXBC (Raid 0) - 600GB
Is there any operation that can be done, without having to reinstall the operating system, to "clone" the System disk (C:) to the new 600Gb disk and place this as the system disk?
Thanks in advanced
DO

SolutionHi DO2,
Since this disk is in RAID-0, you will loose the data if you replace it with new disk.
Many of the third party softwares are available to clone from disk to disk.
Procedure :
1) Check the provided 600GB disk is compatible to the server by referring this link.
2) If the new disk is compatible and you have free disk slot, insert the disk, configure the RAID 0 and dump the cold data from old disk.
3) If compatible but you dont have free disk slot, take backup of old disk and replace it with 600GB new disk, create RAID 0, Install OS and dump the cold data from backup.
FYI,
SFF supported by DL120 Gen9 server:
HPE 600GB SAS 12G Enterprise 15K SFF (2.5in) SC 3yr Wty Digitally Signed Firmware HDD 870757-B21
