Confusion with the cluster
The software seems to install (smartstart CD) on node 2 just fine win2k Adv. server also but on node1 smartstart fails when its installing the system tools partition... we have 2 CL380's here and both do that... i am now in process of redoing them nad now it installs fine on node1 so far.. is there any chance that i got 2 bad smartstart cds or 2 bad cd drives that dont read the cd right?.. because i tried 2 Cds and still same result... i have been fiddling with this for over a week now... if anyone has any clue please let me know..

Re: Confusion with the cluster
I had a similar problem while makeing the system partition. The 'solution' I used was doning it all over again and again. And sometimes it works the first time and sometimes (sigh...) it works the 5th or sixth time. I had the problem on both CL380's and DL380's

Re: Confusion with the cluster
there is a service advisory to download. all teac slimline cd drives have a problem with their firmware. download the new firmware and then the cd drives will work fine. my problem is that i can't find the compaq cluster management tools for compaq insight manager.

Re: Confusion with the cluster
Cluster management software is part of a package purchased. check with your vendor/provider - if you still can't find it email us at support@compaq.com and we'll provide part numbers and dealers in your area.
