CPU upgrade
Hi,
We have server DL580 G7. Base on document below, it' said we can upgrade cpu. We choose to upgrade from X7650 to 8867L.
https://www.hpe.com/h20195/V2/Getdocument.aspx?docname=c04128284
We have upgrade all firmware using SPP 2016.04. Using cpu x7650, we can boot until OS level. We try to boot using 8867L. We wait until 10 minute. Even logo proliant not come out. Does we miss something? Advice needed.
Thanks.

Re: CPU upgrade
Is it because of memory cartridge? Currently we are using same cartridge from X7560. We do not have E7 Memory cartridge. We could not test it.

Re: CPU upgrade
Finally, we receive E7 memory cartridge. We put 8867L on proc1 and proc3. We power up the server. Server can power up but no POST screen. It not even showing proliant logo. Normal startup can see proliant logo. Is it about E7 family board? We notice for BL680c, they got 2 seperate factory deliver. One that support E7 family processor (4800 and 88xx) and Intel 7500 family. Could be it?
